Automatic Water Level Controller

How to Use?

  • For underground to overhead tank: To use unit for both tanks, all connections (OH, OL, C, UL, UH) should be used. Whenever liquid level in underground tanks falls below set low level, it switches off the pump-set. Pumping will restart only when liquid level reaches to set high level or above that and only if demanded by overhead tank. Low level in underground tank to be set above foot valve to avoid dry running of pump-set. Now motor operation will be as per level in overhead tank.
  • For Overhead Tank: To use unit for controlling levels in overhead tank, short point C, UL & UH. Now whenever level in overhead tank falls below set low level, unit operates pump-set automatically and when liquid level reaches to high level, it stops motor pump-set. Motor will restart only when liquid level falls below low level.
  • For Underground Tank: To use the unit for underground tank, keep terminals OH & OL open. Now when liquid level falls below set low level, the unit switches off the pump-set & it will switch on the pump-set when liquid level reaches to high level.

 

Installation Guide :

Install the Liquid Level Controller at suitable place. Protect the unit from rainfall, sunlight and waterfall.

Fix-up High, Low & Common sensors in Overhead tank considering following points.

  • High sensor should be installed at maximum level at which you want to stop the pump. Keep a sensor probe slightly lower than over flow pipe level.
  • Low sensor should be installed at level which you want to start the pump. Low sensor should be such that it will keep some reserve stock in tank. Distance between Low and High sensor should not be very less otherwise it operates pumps frequently.
  • Keep Ground sensor at lowest level in the tank.


Fix-up High, Low & Common sensors in Underground tank considering following points.

  • Keep the High sensor at middle level in Underground tank for better result.
  • Keep the Low sensor at slightly higher level than foot valve. Pump will be stopped if water goes down below this level even if Overhead tank is empty. Push the ‘Manual reset’ push button to switch-ON the motor pump in this situation.
  • Keep the distance 6 inch between Low sensor & Ground sensor in Underground tank for preventing the motor ON-OFF frequently.
  • Keep Ground sensor at lowest level in the tank.


Keep the Ground, Low and High sensors away from incoming waterfall in both tanks. Use the PVC pipe having 1 inch diameter with some ducts(holes) through the pipe to keep the real level of water in each tank. Please see the connection diagram attached on Water Level Controller to fix up the sensors in both tanks.

Clean the all sensor probes in Overhead and Underground tank at least once a year for better function of the Water Level Controller.
